Question:

Soda before a meal - can't eat?

This is going to be hard to explain, but I'll try to explain it the best I can. If I don't drink before I eat then I can eat a fairly good amount of food (which I have to because I have a slight hyperthyroid problem). But, if I even have the smallest sip of soda I'm instantly full, this makes no sense. I do not do this with water whatsoever. I mean it's extremely fullness, like I just ate a huge meal and can't eat another bite. I've heard of people drinking before hand to eat less, but this seems over exxagerated. Does anyone have a clue why it does this? And it's only with soda, hardly with water or orange juice.

  1. Well, I know that if I drink enough soda, it's the carbohydrates that feel me up.  It's also all of that sugar, and you have to think about this, in water you don't have any of that, and in orange juice you don't have carbohydrates.  The carbs may be the problem.  I do know what you mean, I'm just not 100% sure if my situation is the same for you.  I hope this helped.

  2. Maybe because the carbonation leaves a stuck burb in need in your stomach that takes up some room.

When I eat and drink soda, I feel full take a burb and eat more.
