  1. I know plenty of people who drank a ton of soda during pregnancy! Just try to make sure it's caffeine free and that you are drinking plenty of water as it can dehydrate you.

  2. congratulations!! i drank soda during my pregnancy , i love coke with dessert!! . wth moderation it wont be a problem.. just eat a balanced healthy diet and lots of water

  3. I drank a lot of ginger ale during early pregnancy as it was one of the things that made me feel not so nauseated (I was having all-day sickness). Later, in pregnancy, soda may make acid reflux and heartburn worse, and for me anything with Splenda gives me acid reflux any time (not just during pregnancy.

  4. If you really crave it that bad I would stick to diet caffeine soda thats what I did when i was pregnant and my son was fine. They say too much caffeine can cause birth defects.

  5. im 33 weeks pregnant and drunk quite alot of coka cola even though not so much anymore as causes me bad heartburn, my friend is also craving it, i dont think we should be drinking bottle loads a day, but a few glasses wont harm your baby,im pregnant with my 3rd and it hasnt harmed any of my children,xx

  6. i'm sure it won't be incredibly hurtful for the baby, the only thing i've really heard is that it could increase risk of miscarriage but you would have to be drinking a LOT of soda for it to do this.

as long as you aren't drinking more than 3 or so a day, i wouldn't be too worried, and don't feel bad. i drank a lot of soda my first pregnancy *i worked at a pizza place* and this time i drink a bit of coffee and sometimes a soda here or there, no problems yet and my son is almost 3 and my daughter is 24 weeks in utero...

a lot of people will probably say it is really harmful, but there is little proof of that and its just a normal assumption with the way caffeine affects OUR bodies that it would be harmful to a fetus. all in all there is very little proof either way.

**btw diet soda is not good, esp. for pregnancy as it contains artificial sweeteners that are much more harmful than caffeine. and in caffeine free, there is still caffeine and the methods they use to extract as much as they can are sometimes also worse than the actual caffeine. you would do better to just limit yourself to a few sodas a day or something like that.

  7. Even if you dont drink diet or caffine free soda, you can safely have 300 mg of caffine a day, or about 2 sodas. I have been living on a 2 a day limit for months, and it makes things easier. Just have one in the morning and the next at lunch. Don't have it too close to bedtime or you will have a hard time sleeping!

  8. ive heard soda is not good for the baby. its the caffeine in it.I would try to drink sprite or 7up

  9. Drink caffeine free soda =)

  10. I've known women that craved soda. It was no problem to them.
