  1. I know what you mean, I also am a sodaaholic.  The only thing that works for me is that I make myself replace half of the soda I would have drank in a day with water. At first it was hard but now I actually look forward to the water as much as the soda. Good luck!

  2. if you dont stop you will get really fat!

  3. Try switching to something like juice, or gradually switch to flavored carbonated water type things if it's the fizz you like. if you at least switch to diet soda you avoid all the empty calories.

  4. Maybe drink more water to flush out the effects of too many sodas, and also cut down on them. I have a hard time as well, they only put weight on you and are just the worst thing to put into your body, but oh well . . .

  5. Try drinking tea or vitamin water. Slowly reduce your soda intake while replacing it with a different drink.

  6. umm..... just keep soda out of ur sight...

  7. Definitely go off that c**p. It's got phosphoric adic, which is bad for the bones. Also, it's just sugar water. Go to a natural foods store and get (occasionally, when you crave carbonation) Knudsen's spritzers, which are carbonated juices.

  8. Keep drinking it.

    I do.

  9. dont buy any or drink diet

  10. Drink water or fruit juice sodas are bad news.

  11. Buy flavored water. It has the flavor, but is way healthier for you.

  12. Just drink a little less or go for Juice and carbonated water. There is a great soda like juice drink called Izze that I recommend to any one. Also don't go for diet sodas they are just as bad if not worse.  Also some sodas from other countries use real cane sugar like Coca Cola from Mexico and Dr. Pepper from Ireland and they taste WAY better than the US counterpart. I also hear that some of the sodas in the US are removing the the sweetening agent all together.

So have fun and drink up and try some new carbonated drinks!

  13. I am not sure if you want to quit from your post. But here are the nromal concerns about sodas.

    Caffeine issues:

    1. Caffeine dehydrates. It takes more water to process than a caffeinated beverage contains.

    2. Caffeine depletes the body of B vitamins.

    3. Caffiene depletes the body of calcium

As long as you get enough water to offset the caffeine and take extra B vitamins and calcium then this won't be an issue.

However, over 300 mg of caffeine a day wil start to cause much more severe health problems so keep your total amount under that. Sodas typically contain 35 - 50 mg per serving.

SUGAR AND CALORIES:  As far as the sugar and calories go as long as you burn off enough calories then don't worry about that.

COLORING:  Finally there has been much concern about the coloring used in sodas. I have not looked into this myself  but thre does seem to be some just cause for concern.
