Soda without the taste of carbonate water(soda) from a machine?

my uncle own a store and his soda machine doesn't have the taste of carbonate water with it. any idea how to fix it?

There is probably a leak in the compartment where the soda is stored, which is causing the soda to go "flat" (aka lose the carbonate taste). It would be a good idea to check for any cracks and other places that may be exposing the soda to the air. I would suggest replacing the entire compartment, but I don't know how much that would cost.
