sodium hydroxide absorbs water and co2 from air.

a)how to store sodium hydroxide solution?

b)what is the effect on titration if this solution expose to the air?

  1. Store NaOH in an air tight container.  If it adsorbs CO2 the alkalinity is reduced so a titration would use more solution and yield high results.
