Soemthing about America getting poisoned?? -I can explain it much better in the details come look-?

Ok I was in school and we watching a movie and the Social Worker said why we watched it, and so on.

She said something about some type of Chemical War.... something. I forget the rest of the word. She said something about that someone (I think it has something to do with the war so I guess Iraq) is going to fill the USA's air with Chemicals or some type of Toxic poison or some area of American with toxic air so we can die or something and that people wouldn't be able to enter the USA or leave the USA. I'm not sure how she EXACLLY explained it.

Then we was talking about this one boy said it was gonna happen in 2009.

The Social Worker said she don't know when it'll happen or even if it is gonna happen.

Is any of this true?

If I even explained it right.

If i can explain it better sometime I may tell you again, but just.... try to answer my question. If you have any info on it let me know, try not to make it to worryful.

Was it chemical warfare?

I really can't see anything like that ever happening.  I'm no rocket scientist but that's an awful lot of airspace to poison and  it would drift into the upper atmosphere and also with the winds, travel across the oceans to other countries and back to the country of origin if there was that much of it and that toxic.  Don't worry about it.

Okay, you have a responsibility in class to ask questions to be sure you understand what was said because this is heavy-duty stuff.

There is something called "chemical warfare." What it means is that weapons have been made that can spray the air, make everybody sick and dead. A lot of countries have the ability to do just that, including US.

There is also something called "biological warfare", what that means is that the air or the water in an area can be contaminated (soiled) with germs that will make everybody sick and dead. A lot of countries have that ability also.

This is real.

We live in a dangerous world.

As far as we know these ways of doing war have not been used yet, but they're in place, ready to go if anybody is stupid enough to use them. You see, they're all wired up to go off, so  if one country uses "dirty bombs" the other countries will use theirs against them instantly.

Having stuff like that flloating around the world is dangerous and we, all the people on earth, are not safe.

But we were never safe anyway, there have always been all sorts of ways that people die, you can think of a few.

So it works better to remember that life is beautiful, it is here to be enjoyed and we must be sure to keep ourselves healthy and happy so we can do that every day.

So why tell you about these dangers, just to make you worry?

It's part of your education, what you need to know about living here and now. What you need to know as an adult, why you need to vote when you're old enough.

You need to know that dangerous people and countries have to be stopped, just like school bullies. You need to know that our big world, full of all kinds of people, is only a small bubble where what we do affects everyone else.

You need to know that war is dangerous, and the only way we can survive on this planet is in peace and cooperation.

You   need to understand that it is only YOU, along with everybody else, who can keep peace and stop wars that will kill all on earth.

Peace starts in your home, in your neighborhood, your school...you get the idea.

Peace isn't just about sitting there, it's about helping others enjoy the wonderful life you want for yourself. When people are happy they don't make war, they want to stay at peace to enjoy their good fortune.

So remember, as a citizen of the world, make peace.
