Softball ouy of the olimpics!!!!?

why are they going to take softballl out of the olimpics???

largely it's because they suck! very uncompetitive and dominated by just two countries China and USA. It does not really project the olympic spirit...

They are taking out baseball as well. I would probably guess that because baseball games and softball games drag out we miss the other events. I wouldn't know any other reason. If this is the case then the game should be shorter in innings like 4 innings.

Because there isn't nearly enough international competition in softball.  The US always wins, most of the other teams suck and it seems like it's just a huge waste of time (i.e. everyone playing for second/third).  I may be wrong, but I don't think the US has ever lost a game in the Olympics and in this one they've only given up 1 run (or something like that).  It probably wouldn't have been eliminated from future Olympics if more countries had better teams and it wasn't a formality that the US would win gold.

softball is a wonderful sport and taking it out of the Olympics would be like taking away something very important out of some of our lives. softball is very important to me and i play the sort so...

to me they should leave it in the Olympics.

Because it isn't popular outside of North America and Asia, so therefore, it isn't a truly international sport.
