  1. No, that's why it is very important to be soft on a horse's mouth while they are young. Sorry.

  2. yes you can always soften them. my horse was really bad!!!!.

    1. at a stand pull on your horses head gently till the horse lowers they head then let go right away. do this about half a dozen times. if they were tought to back when you pull back start olny asking for a back when your legs on them. this is how i tough my horse.

    2. at a stand pull there head to the side using one rein. when you feel them give to that presure but only then let go. it they go in circles let them do it till they give to the presure.

    3. start asking for these things at a walk.

if you do these right the horse will put its head down if you pull on the reins a slight bit, you dont even have to pick up your hand off there neck. they should be not pulling at all when you move the reins to turn

    NO REINS STOP

my horse is trained (i trained her) to stopp the sec.. i say whaoo.

    1. walk about 2 steps say whao then stop them then back about 3 steps with some speed get them moving.

    repet a dozen times.

    2. lessen the presure it takes to stopp them if they dont stop when you say whao back them up fast about 6 stepps. if they wont back tap you leggs wiggle in saddle just allitle and get them moving backward.

    3.  repeat at each gate only aftter the listen GOOD at one slower speed then you are going they will get when you say that is stop and i mean it.

I hope i can help it did for me let me know if you have ne Q;s

  3. no i talked to a vet..

  4. my horse had a hard mouth.

and he is young and in training.

what i do is put a hard bit in his mouth.

i ride him in that for about a month.

and then i put a soft bit in.

then he is quiet and soft cuz he cannot be with the hard bit.

it works for me hopefully it will work with you.

    good luck.

    merry xmas.

p.s or you can just play around with bits until u find the right one for you and your horse maybe the one you have in right now is just to soft for him.

    peacee out <3 =D
