Softop convertibles and new england weather?

i really want a convertible and i live in new england. so how do soft tops hold up? i need good answers so i can convince my parents to let me get one

The new convertibles have a dual layer material and can

withstand the weather and the UV rays much better.  The

earlier convertibles had a single layer material and lasted

only a few years before a replacement was necessary.  

Make sure you take care of your convertible top with the

right cleaners and you'll enjoy it for many years without any

problems.  A darker top will show less dirt.
