Software Engineer pay scales??

I would like to know what kind of pay scale is offered to new graduates (BE) in software engineering in different countries like UK, USA, India, Australia...

How much can one expect to get from a firm in India if he has done his engineering from UK with a first class degree?

starting pay is usu low.  in USA its about USD40,000,  uk - 30000pounds, Aust - AUD45,000.  its relative to the cost of living and demand.

indian companies pay quite well now as they dont want to lose them to foreign companies located in silicon valley etc.  what more if u hv degree from uk.   around IDR600,000 wh is very good in indian standards
