Software program to verify access within building and sign in and out?

i work security for a high rise building with many floors and companies. i need software that will allow me to verify access and sign in and out tenants. currently i use a huge book to verify access and a notebook to sign in and out. it would make it much quicker to use a computer

The best way is to use a card reader or RFID. These aren't going to be cheap but are highly effective.

Your specifics are a little unclear. Do you want to type the information in yourself, have them write their name, or what? What information do you want to store? How long?

Certainly what you want to do can be done but if you aren't the guy who pays for it, is that person wanting to spend money on this?

Free solutions don't really exist unless you want to type all the information manually.
