Software upgrades. My laptop has windows vista and everytime i try to install the camcorder driver

Question

My laptop has windows vista and everytime i try to install the camcorder driver into the laptop is gives me an error message. the driver installation device is missing a necessary entry. This may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or higher. I am thinking my camcorder would need a software upgrade but i'm not sure where i am going from there.
