He is an exciting explosive fighter. How would he do against the other top fighters? I personally would like to see him fight Thiago Silva that would be sensational

  1. i still beleive that his loss to machida was not due to his ground game or anything of that nature but it was due for the same reason that all the pride members lost their first match they have not fought in a year and when they get back in a match they fight one of the best look at Silva, shogun, sokoudjou, and everyone else that has made the transition.  xcept for the one that are dominating rite they made the transition when pride was still goin on and early and they all got easy fights. Some were even unkowns. i really think soko is being taken lightly and i think if he fought Thiago he would KO because for some reason he like to bang n he gets lucky but i bet soko

  2. not sure. he REALLY disappointed alot of people in his ufc debute loss to machida (who is no slouch by the way)

but I was expecting him to blow machida karate kid a$$ away

  3. He still has to fight a few more scrubs before he gets to that level...It will be a while before he's a title contender.

  4. Sokoujou is very explosive that being said, Thiago Silva would beat him in the 1st round by submission, because he has no ground game that why machida smashed him last time. Rashad  and Tito are wrestlers which is another bad matchup for him because he would get out pointed on the ground, Wanderlei might be the best matchup but after the way he jst beat Jardine, i wouldnt be surprised if he just took down Sokoudjou and ground and punded him, like he did in pride, dont forget that Wandy is a BJJ

black belt also even though he doesnt use it a lot because he likes to stand.

  5. Liddell getting injured is going to force us to wait for th 205 division to get straightened out.

You've Rampage vs Forrest on July 5th.  For the sake of argument, let's say that Rampage wins.  Let's also assume that Rashad Evans wins his fight on June 7th in England that was supposed to be against Liddell.

    1.) Rampage Jackson

2.) Rashad Evans - still undeafeated at 17-0-1, but no notable wins

3.) Lyoto Machida - still undeafeated at 14-0, notable wins over Sokodouju and Tito Ortiz

4.) Thiago Silva - still undefeated at 12-0, no real notable wins

    5.) Chuck Liddell - 21-5

6.) Mauricio (Shogun) Rua - 16-3 - lost UFC debut to Forrest Griffin

    7.) Wanderlei Silva - 33-8-1

    8.) Rameau Sokodouju - 6-2

9.) Matt Hamill - 5-1 - loss was BS decision to Bisping

10.+) Keith Jardine (13-6-1) Stephan Bonner (14-4)/Forrest Griffin (15-4)/Goran Reljic (8-0, impressive in UFC debut over Wilson Gouveau at UFC 84)

It's really difficult to put these in order.  Do I really think Evans is the 2nd best 205lb guy in the UFC?  No, but the record is the record.
