  1. As the previous poster said, you're very late on this one. People seem to not understand the difference between what SOLAR and LUNAR mean.

    SOLAR is another term used for the Sun. So therefore, when there is a SOLAR eclipse, that means the Sun's light is blocked by the Moon.

    LUNAR is another term used for the Moon. So a LUNAR eclipse means the light the Moon gets from the Sun is being blocked by the Earth's shadow.

    Sorry if I seem like an a$$ for my stressing so much, but people apparently weren't paying attention when this was covered in elementary school.


  2. You are extremely late. The solar eclipse already occurred many hours ago in Canada, Russia, and China. You wouldn't have seen it from the US anyways.
