Solar Eclipse over U.S.?

Question

Today a total solar eclipse happened over parts of Russia, China etc. When is the next total solar eclipse supposed to happen over the U.S.? I remember the one that happened way back in the late 70's. Very cool to witness.

August 21st 2017 will be the next total solar eclipse to be visible from the US. It's a good one too, passing right across the middle of the country -  the path of totality sweeps through Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and South Carolina.

The next 100 years will be a real bonanza for eclipses in the USA. Here is a map showing the incredible number.
