  1. umm....at night the sun wouldnt be out therefore no solar eclipse, the solar eclipse will be in the day. And the moon is so small it would only be  a total solar eclipse for a small band of people across the world

  2. Solar eclipses happen during the day.  The Moon comes between the Earth and the Sun, casting a shadow.  For this to work, the Sun has to be out.  It is customary to call the time when the Sun is out "Day".

Today's solar eclipse is over.  If you live in North Eastern Canada, it happened at sunrise, and you missed it.  If you live in the US, you didn't miss it.  You never had the opportunity to miss it.

But you can watch it with your wayback machine.  I know you have one, it's right in front of you.

  4. It looks like you're confusing solar eclipse with lunar eclipse. A solar eclipse occurs during the day, when the moon covers the sun. The total eclipse is only visible from a small part of the world. The partial eclipse can be seen from a larger area, but not the entire world. A lunar eclipse occurs during the night, when the Earth's shadow covers the moon. It is visible from any place where it is night. By the way, the solar eclipse (which was visible mostly in Asia) happened earlier today so its too late for your picture, unfortunately.
