What is solar energy? And what are two main ways of using solar energy to produce electricity. Thanks. =]

Solar energy is energy from the sun. The 2 ways I know about to create electricity are the photovoltaic which are usually on houses and solar thermal which is usually a large scale plant. I put links below for both types.
