Solar power is renewable, but it's not cheap because the US has not invested enough in Research & Development. Currently in the United Kingdom all new government buildings are required to have solar panels. So there goes all the theories about it only being good in CA. Since when has the US waited for other countries to come up with the best ideas? We should be seriously doing some R&D in solar power and that includes, solar hybrid cars too. Let us also not forget about wind power - especially with all these hurricances and tornados. Solar power is a viable solutions for cars and homes, but I just cant believe the way you all just shot that other person right down when she mention solar power. If England can power their buildings with it - I think you should all think again and remember the ozone layer is not as thick as it once was.
