Can I buy a solar-charged gadget charger from the states and expect to be able to use it to charge a European gadget, such as a European cell phone, or other non-U.S. rechargeable gadget?

I hope this makes sense!

  1. Most solar chargers have a cars hot point type of outlet.

I believe cars and trucks in Europe have a 12 volt system and a hotpoint just like the ones in the USA. So if you can plug it in to your car you can plug it in to a solar panel made anywhere in the world.

The same for the solar chargers with an USB port. All USB ports are the same anywhere in the world.

  2. I agree with the first answer

  3. You should be able to, though it may require the use of another adapter. Some of the solar chargers even use a usb outlet.
