  1. i dont think so...

  2. On 1st August 2008 there will be a total eclipse of the Sun, visible from Canada, northern Greenland, Svalbard, the Barents Sea, Russia, Mongolia and China. From the whole of the British Isles observers will see a partial solar eclipse, with between 1/10th and 1/3rd of the Sun obscured by the Moon.

  3. as far as I know, its on the 1st. and i believe its going to be in china.

  4. Hi Robyn!

All places in the world that can see the eclipse see it on August 1st.

In parts of far eastern Siberia, where they do see the partial eclipse, the event ends around 12:30 a.m. Kamchatka Summer Time Saturday August 2nd.  By then, however, the sun will already have set, so even here the eclipse can only be SEEN on August 1.

Those watching on TV or the internet from Kiribati will see the end of the eclipse around 1:20 a.m. Saturday August 2, but no part of the eclipse can actually be observed there.
