Nothing will completely replace oil in our lifetimes!  The world will always need oil!   No green source of "energy" will ever completely replace our need for oil!

Solar, water power, wind power, etc. BETTER than oil - maybe NOT!  It is certainly cleaner but there will never be enough to keep our economy afloat in our lifetimes!

India and China and other 3rd World countries will continue to pollute the air and water and run their factories free of restraints - it is the Western countries that are punished though!  America in particular, the Environmental Movement wants to destroy America - destroying our economy is the way to do it!

Sorry, no Green sources of energy will replace the need for oil in your lifetime, or mine even!    Even with a zero growth rate we will still need oil!   Cheaper oil means a thriving economy!

This doesn't mean we should not invest our time and money in Green forms of energy because we will always need more energy because we continue to make babies!  Lots of babies who will want cars and the toys that our economy produces!
