  1. nuke all the way

  2. Hydro energy is more powerful. It is very difficult to make the solar energy a powerful portable energy source. Hydro is not stable and when more scientists work on the solution it will easily replace fossil fuels.

  3. If you mean "hydro"as in the means to produce energy you are talking about hydro electric generating stations meaning the use of fast flowing water to generate electricity IE hydro.such as Hover Dam and Niagara falls. Most viable water courses have been dammed and are already in use for this process.Solar will probably out generate water generation simply because imagine all the roof top area that solar collectors could be placed on in North America and this could be done without damage to the environment by using up land.As for the electrical part they all generate the same power or voltage that runs through the lines to your home transformers are what regulate the amperage or power that is supplied.Solar and wind will be the next up and coming means to generate electricity

  4. go with this guy the 1st answer how is nuke bad ?? u say umm what do they do with the nuke wen there done wit it ship it to a desert and berry it so we still have it in hydro the water spins the turbin and goes rite back ito the sourse

  5. What type of solar energy?  Photovoltaic?  Photochemical?Thermal? Sterling engine?

I think both solar and hydro will have a place in replacement of fossil fuels but solar doesn't make for a very stable base-loading source of power, like hydro, coal, geothermal, and nuclear, due to the nature of the rotation of the earth.  That is until a means for storage of LARGE quantities of solar energy is developed.

  6. Solar most likely when they fine tune it and get the costs down. Water produced energy is feasable in some places but there always is a price to pay for your eco systems. As an example, the dams on the north west have stopped the spawning grounds of salmon this nearly killing the livelyhood of many communities and putting some species on the endangered list. Both are non poluting as far as air emmissions. Solar energy requires batteries, I don't know about dams. You are using a natural resource that is free and non depleting. You are not raping the earth with poluting mining operations that poison the environment . There is an unlimmited amount of sun , however our water supply is threatened by so much developement and industry
