  1. photoelectric effect

  2. There are a few answers possible, yet since you didn't specify further, I'll give you three that come to mind.

With regards to how the Sun produces solar energy, that would be nuclear fusion.  The general process is when two hydrogen atoms fuse into one helium atom, thereby producing massive amounts of energy in the process.

WIth regards to solar energy to produce hot water, solar energy is absorbed by a collection panel (usually dark in color), where the water is either in tubes within the panel and heated there, or a heat transfer medium is used and circulated through a holding tank to heat the water there.

WIth regards to the production of electricity via solar PV arrays, photons produced by the sun excite electrons within the semiconductors imbedded within the solar panels.  Electron flow is electricity, all be it DC in this form.  The DC can then be run through an inverter and converted into AC for use within a modern home.

  3. Sun molecules are radiated in a stream.  These molecules enter solar panels by a process known as "transmutation", and lodge against the solar cells.  The cells react by emitting energy into the coils and wires connected to them.  This energy is funneled into an "A.C. Collector", and it is then entered into the electrical system of the residence, RV, or other place desiring it's use.
