Solar lights?

I am deciding on buying those little solar lights for my lawn. I just wanted to know if it needs completely direct sunlight to charge. Does the light turn on when it stopped charging or when it is dark? Which set or brand would be best?

  1. they have sunlight hours needed on the boxes and they turn on when it is dark. indirect sunlight can work, but lights can be dimmer.

  2. The solar lights are a quick and easy way to illuminate your walk or perimeter of your yard. The solar panel on the light needs to be in the sun to charge properly, usually a good full day after installing them to work properly. The solar lights have a sensor built into them that will turn the light on when the sun goes down, at dark, then will turn off in the morning when sun light hits the fixture. Spend alittle more for good lights the cheap ones don't put off alot of light, LED ones are the best.

    Hope this helps
