Solar powered home is US?

i need to know how many houses in the US are powered by solar power.....it would be great if you could give me how many houses in each year from 2000 until now. also, the web site you got the information from? thank you!!!!!

No one knows.

This is from the Dept. of Energy, and if THEY don't know, then no one knows.

And that doesn't even get into the definition of a "solar house".

Is that passive solar, hot water solar, solar cells, completely independent of the power grid, etc.?

And once built, are they still in operation?  Once people see the economics and high maintenance up close ... it doesn't look so good anymore.

You could search solar equipment companies and see if they have a WAG (wild a**ed guess) and use that as your source, but that is all it will be.

Does it help to know that I use solar positive pressure heat, but that uses 100 watts of energy, however it let's my oil-furnace burn less.
