dear frendzz. ..

why is venus more hotter dan mercury. mercury being the nearest should be hott .. bot venus has more temept dan mercury.. why.

plz give scientiffic answers.. . i need it

  1. The atmosphere of Venus has much more CO2,which retains heat.

    It's like an intensified version of the greenhouse effect.


  2. Venus is totally covered in dense clouds. Heat from the sun can pass through them to the surface, but most of that heat can't escape back into space because of the cloud cover. Mercury has virtually no atmosphere so whatever heat it takes in can escape back into space.

  3. It's not the clouds of Venus that primarily give it its runaway greenhouse effect, it's the vast amount of CO2 in its atmosphere. Mercury has little to no atmosphere with which to "trap" heat from the sun, whereas Venus has a thick blanket of an atmosphere, some 100 times denser than Earth's.
