Solar water pump... help pls!?

Question

I have a home in the Philippines which currently has a hand powered water pump. Push the lever and out comes the water.

Works great, but would really prefer something solar powered.

I don't know the exact depth of the well so hard to figure out exactly what kind of electric pump I need.

I thought I once heard that there was a device to hook onto a hand powered pump that could be solar powered. Am I dreaming or does it exist.

Any thoughts out there?
