  1. If you have a written signed copy that the buyer knew of the odometer discrepancy you're OK.  The son is an adult so it doesn't matter what his father says or does

  2. laugh, and hang up. It's his problem now.

  3. he is 18...an adult. He knew the jeep and the title should have been signed by both you and him. So its his problem. The Dad should be mad at his son , not you. Good Luck.

  4. As long as the title reflected the true mileage unknown / not accurate mileage, and all the money was exchanged properly, then there is nothing he can do. His son is of legal age and his father can not decide to undo a deal.

If he wants to try to take you to small claims court, his son would have to prove to a judge that you intentionally misled him into purchasing a vehicle with a defect(s) that impair(s) the vehicle’s safety or substantially impairs the use. Even then, there is no guarantee his son would win. Good luck and I hope these answers all help you.

Please note that I am not a lawyer nor can I <or anyone on here> give legal advice.

  5. father has no any right to talk to you when his son is adult ! any way u have received money , forget the jeep and boy and his father!

  6. yea if the son is ok w/ it then  ur fine the dad is prob upset the kid bought a car so but there was nothing wrong w/ car and the kid knew what he bought so don't worry Judge Judy will rule in your favor, lol

  7. I have to say the kid was aware of the condition of the truck if he spent 2 hours looking at it with that many miles on it? come on. Now i do suspect your mind is getting the best of you other wise you would not be on here asking your question

so too set your mind at ease you could return the money when he brings back the jeep minus the leak. Also you did not mention how much you sold it for but if you ebay that sucker i bet you will get more for it jeeps are fun to rebuild.

  8. At 18 he is not " a kid" - he is legally an adult. Keep records of money exchanging hands, phone conversations, visitations, etc.... just in case you need it for the small claims court.  Good luck.

  9. as is, means just that , the jeep is his, tell his father to go to h**l

  10. You asked this yesterday. Tell them "too bad". Call the father's bluff, let him take you to small claims court. He isn't going to win. It's probably just a threat, anyway.
