Sold a piece of jewelry at the pawn shop

Is there a time limit that you can retrieve a sold piece of jewelry at the pawn shop. I sold a piece of jewelry 2 days ago is there a way to get it back or will i have to pay there price for it?

  1. you will probably have to pay their price...unless you pawned it, if you sold it then you are out of luck unless you pay their asking price.


  2. Hello Penny,

      If you SOLD your jewelry.... you sold it.   It is now their property.  You can buy it for what they price it at... but not for 30 days.  They hold it for that length of time to let police do their investigating on the merchandise that comes in to the shop and that is a law.

    If you pawned it  /  took a loan out for it... you can go in whenever you want and pay off the loan then get it back.

    Never sell anything to a pawn shop that you might think you want back....
