The Spanish striker recently revealed the interest from the North London club, Tottenham Hotspur, stating that they wanted to buy him during this summer transfer window.
Few La Liga players have been on the radar of different European clubs and Roberto Soldado recently accepted that he is one of them.
The Spanish striker revealed that the Premier League side, Tottenham Hotspur, were interested in signing him during this summer transfer window.
Soldado is currently a part of Valencia, who managed to finish third in La Liga. It is important to note that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 will be taking part in the Champions League while Spurs, despite finishing fourth in the Premier League, will not be playing in the European
competition.
There is no doubt that the former Real Madrid player is one of the best strikers in La Liga right now, and since Spurs are currently trying to rebuild their team under their new coach, Andreas Villas Boas, Soldado is definitely going to be a great addition
to the club.
However, Soldado has stated that he is happy in the Spanish club he is currently a part of, admitting that he will play out his contract which is till the year 2017.
While speaking about his contract and the interest from the Premier League outfit, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roberto-Soldado-c31367 stated:
"I knew their interest on me; my representatives told me they made an offer to the club, but despite the economic situation, they didn't want to sell me."
I signed until 2017 I'm ready to complete my contract; that's my dream and I hope it comes true. I want to play here, in my land's team."
It is going to be a very interesting start for Valencia as the Spanish La Liga kicks off on the upcoming weekend and Roberto Soldado is going to be an important part of the first-team.
Valencia will be starting their season against the current La Liga champions, Real Madrid, and it will be interesting to see whether a team like Valencia can beat the likes of Madrid, who are currently not only aiming to defend their La Liga title, but also
win the UEFA Champions League.
