Sole Power makes it into the 20 Palace House entries: Horse Racing news
Some of the most prestigious events of the horse racing industry have been lined up for this season. This is the time of the season when all the significant races take place back-to-back all over the world. The fans of the sport are being provided with unlimited
entertainment as these races host some of the best racehorses from around the world.
After the John Smith’s Grand National event, which took place at the Aintree racecourse, the Irish Grand National event at the Fairyhouse racecourse has attracted the attention of sports analysts. The reason behind this could be the fact that after the former
Grand National meeting came to an end, it was subjected to a great deal of criticism, as the pace of the race resulted in the death of two colts and injuries to numerous others.
The winner of the 2010 edition of the Coolmore Nunthorpe Stakes, Sole Power, has reportedly been entered in the 2,000 Guineas day. The racehorse Sole Power was sent out to contend the Nunthorpe Stake as a 100-1 favourite. It has been reported that the racehorse
has been included among the 20 contenders that will be competing against each other in the Group 3 Pearl Bloodstock Palace House Stakes, which is scheduled to take place at the Newmarket racecourse.
This race will be very interesting for those who follow the sport regularly. Sole Power is the trainee of famed trainer Edward Lynam. The four-year-old racehorse was defeated in the Al Quoz Sprint, which took place at the Meydan racecourse in March. He could
potentially be running against his rival Borderlescott, who was also the winner of the Nunthorpe event in 2008 and 2009.
The 20 competing racehorses also include 10 that have defected from the Qipco Jockey Club Stakes, which has also been made a feature of the same card. This leaves behind just six racehorses for the Group 2 race at the meeting. The trainees of James Given,
Dandino and Indian Days, are also among these six horses. They will compete in a Group 2 race that will be run over a distance of 1 mile and 4 furlongs.
