Soleil D’Avril to fulfill expectations in the Carlsberg UK Handicap Hurdle at Taunton
Carlsberg UK Handicap Hurdle is scheduled to take place at Taunton on 1st March, 2012. The 12 runners will be competing across a distance of 2 miles, 3 furlongs and 110 yards for a purse of £4,224.

Soleil D’ Avril, the 6-year-old gelding is the son of Laveron, out of Melanie Du Chenet. He began his year in an impressive manner.
His trainer, Alan King, is proud of his performance as he finished as a runner-up in the Pegler Yorkshire Handicap Hurdle, where he was defeated by Corkage by 8 lengths, on 11th January, 2012 at Doncaster.
He was pulled up from his last race of 2011 due to an injury. He could not complete the Betfred When Both Teams Score Handicap Hurdle, which took place on 8th December, 2011, at Huntingdon.
Northern Jem, trained by David Pipe, will be racing after a break of almost two years.
The 8-year-old gelding last raced on 29th January, 2010, where he finished 4th in the Les Swanwick Electrical LTD Novices’ Hurdle, which took place at Chepstow.
The son of Mark Of Esteem, out of Top Jem, finished in 5th place in a race before that, in the Thurlbear Novices’ Hurdle, which was held at Taunton, on 21st January, 2010.
Simon Burrough has been devoting his time and attention to improve the form of
Cridda Boy.
His efforts did not go futile as the son of Mark Of Esteem, out of Second Affair, finished as a runner-up in his seasonal debut.
He was defeated by Kambis by 1 ¼ lengths, in the Live Pool Information At Totepool.com Handicap Hurdle, at Folkestone, on 31st January, 2012.
This has been a great improvement as Cridda Boy finished in 9th place in the last race of 2011, the Steve Logan Memorial County Contractors Handicap Hurdle, was held at Taunton, on 30th December, 2011.
Soleil D’Avril is gaining most of the bets for this race, getting most of the popularity from the market, and it looks like he will finish first.
The bookmakers and punters are confident in this ability to beat the competition and secure the victory.
Northern Jem is also of significant interest. He is making a come-back after a long break. His connections are hoping that he will gain the lead.
Cridda Boy has shown remarkable improvement this year and things are really looking up for him in this race.
