Solid Segal in form for the www.decorating-supplies.co.uk (Jim Wragg) at Sheffield
Sheffield will host the www.decorating-supplies.co.uk (Jim Wragg) over 280 metres flat on Tuesday, 15th May. The £200 race has attracted Boyneside Banty, Ballymac Silva, Romeo At Risk, Valentia Zig, Tictac Diamond and Solid Segal.
One of the most convincing entries for the race is Solid Segal, Royal Impact’s two-year-old black and white son out of b***h, Solid Demon. His seasonal debut was in a 280 metres race at Sheffield on 2nd January. Solid Segal scored second behind
the winner Farloe Spitfire who timed the distance in 16.80 seconds.
He was drilled over 264 metres at Monmore on 10th January which he completed in 15.53 seconds.
The training session did not help much as Solid Segal yet again ended second in a 264 metres race at Monmore on 24th January. The race was won by Farloe Spitfire once again who timed the track distance in 15.54 seconds.
The next two races saw Solid Segal losing against Farloe Spitfire.
Two more races down the line led the two-year-old to a 280 metres training session at Sheffield on 28th March. This time the effort did prove fruitful as the next two starts that followed were handled very decently, a second score and a victory.
On 2nd April, Solid Segal finished the closest to the winner, Fire Height Spec, who timed the track distance in 16.24 seconds and led the field by 1 ¾ lengths.
His first seasonal success surfaced on 30th April at Sheffield over 280 metres. Solid Segal completed the trip in 16.29 seconds and took charge of the track by 1 ¼ lengths. Following in close pursuit was Moving Marge.
The two-year-old is lightly raced after the most recent training session and has progressed drastically after that.
Finally winning the career debut after missing seven races has got Solid Segal into form for bagging the race tonight. Being successful for the first time will prompt him to attach further victory strings to the single victory post.
An entry to look out for will be Ballymac Silva who is very lightly raced with only two races displaying on the profile and extensive training. The three-year-old bagged the seasonal debut and just might be looking out for the chance tonight for posting
another win.
