i am a dancer and i am going to do a lyrical solo this year. Whats a good song for a tween girl, that isnt too melty, and has a lot of music "tings"? Something that maybe has a message...

my friend caroline did a lyrical solo to the song believe by hanson. i think it was hanson, anyway. (: but along those lines, to help. our theme was like dreams & power & miracles. those are good themes to look for. we did some other songs that might work for you. i had a lyrical number to "only hope" by mandy more and a ballet one to have a little faith in me by john hiatt if that helps. (:

I personnally like "I wanna hold your hand" sung by T.V. Carpio (originally by the Beatles) or a song probably spot on for your age "Had to grow up" by Aselin Debison, has more rythm and has a message, or "Not a pretty girl" by Ani Difranco (rythm) and HEAVY message, "Who's to say" by Vanessa Carlton, "Just a little bit" has a great message by Maria Mena (she has many songs that have potential here) and finally "Just watch me" from Jordan McCoy!
