  1. 2(3x-5)=5(17-4x) distribute the 2 and 5

    6x-10=85-20x move x's to one side and everything else to the other

    6x+20x=85+10 add

    26x=95 divide both sides by 26

    x=3.653

  2. 6x - 10 = 85 -20x

    6x +20x = 85 + 10

    26x = 95

    x= 96/26= 3&17/26

  3. 2(3x-5)=5(17-4x)

    6x-10=85-20x

    26x=95

    x = 95/26
