  1. first factor out an X

    x(X^2+9x+20)=0

    x(X+5)(X+4)=0

    X=0

    X=-5

    X=-4

  2. x (x + 4) (x +5)

    x=0

    x = -4

    x=-5

  3. Take out the common factor of x

    x(x2 + 9x + 20) = 0

    Factor the rest of the equation

    x (x+4) (x+5) = 0

    Solve for x

    x = 0

    x+ 4 = 0

    x = -4

    x+ 5 = 0

    x = -5

  4. x(x^2 + 9x + 20) = 0

    x(x+5)(x+4)

    So x = 0, -4, -5
