  1. FeSO4(aq)  + NH4Cl(aq) --> No reaction

    both of the possible produces, ammonium sulfate and iron (II) chloride, are soluble in water.

    Someone might argue that the ammonium ion acts as an acid and donates a proton to the sulfate ion to make the weak acid bisulfate.

    Fe2+ + SO4^2- + NH4+ + Cl-  --> Fe2+ + HSO4- + NH3 + Cl-

    NH4+ + SO4^2- <==> NH3 + HSO4-

    The issue with this is that bisulfate ion is a stronger acid, and the equilibrium will lie to the left.  This reinforces our original assumption of "no reaction"

    4FeI3(aq) + 3K4Fe(CN)6 --> (Fe4(III)[Fe(II)(CN)6]3(s) + 12KCl(aq)

    This produces a complex compound called "Prussian blue" which is a "mixed valance" compound of iron (II) and iron (III)


  2. FeSO4 + 2 NH4Cl >> (NH4)2SO4 + FeCl2

    4FeI3 +3 K4(CN)6 >> 12 KI + Fe4[(CN)6]3
