Solve for P - Algebra 2 - Isolate the variable?

I can't seem to figure out how to (correctly) isolate P in this equation:

y=p+prt

I can't just do 'p+p'

As much detail as possible please! Show your work.

y=p(1+rt)

y/(1+rt)=p
