distribute the x and you get 9x^2+46x+40=0

after that, there is nothing that you can mulitply together to give you 360 and add up to 46, so you have to use the quadratic formula!! :D

so the quadratic formula is this: x= -b +or- the square root of: b^2-4ac all over 2a

so in other words x = -46+or - square root of 46^2-4(9)(40)

divided by 2(9)

when you simplify that, you get -46 +or- the square root of 676 over 18

after you simplify that, you get -46 + or - 26

So your answers are: {-20, -72}
