    ∛(x-5) =3

    Cube both sides. then solve.

    (∛(x-5))³ =3³

    x - 5 = 27

    x = 32 <==ANSWER

  2. well take it step by step

    first you do the maths under the ∛

    x-5=3

    x=3+5

    x=8

    so you need ∛8 and that equals 2.828
