  1. b = -15/4

    p = -1110

    m = 0

    x = 9/8

    p = -4

    w = -13/2

    x = -30

    If a number is in the top (numerator) and you want to move it away from x (or other letter), just multiply it by the bottom (denominator) on the other side of the =.

    If a number is the on bottom (below x) then multiply it by the top on the other side of the =.

    This is called cross multiplication.

  2. If you need help with THESE, you'll be in deep sh¡t in by mid-September.

    4b = -15

    4b/4 = -15/4

    b= -15/4

  3. b= -3.75

    p= 1110

    m=0

    x?

    x= -2

    p=4

    w=-6.5

    x=-3.3 repeating

  4. What are we looking for?

  5. 4b=-15   Divided both sides by 4

    b = -15/4

    p/111=-10

    111(p/111) = -10(111)  Multiplied both sides by 111

    p = -1110

    m/-9=0   Multiplied both sides by 9

    9(m-9) = 0*9

    m=0

    2x/3=3/4   Multiplied both sides by 3

    2x = 3*3/4

    2x = 9/4

    8x = 9   Multiplied both sides by 4

    x=9/8    Divided both sides by 8

    x=1.125

    -1/4=x/2

    -1/2 = x  Multiplied both sides by 2

    -4p = 16

    p = 16/-4  Divided both sides by -4

    p = -4

    -2w=13

    w = 13/-2  Divided both sides by -2

    w = -13/2

    -x/3=10

    x = -30  Multiplied both sides by -3

  6. 4b=-15   .... b = -3.75

    p/111=-10 .... p = -1110

    m/-9=0  ... m = 0

    2x/3 = 3/4 ... x = 1.125

    -1/4=x/2 ... x = -0.5

    -4p=16 ... p = -4

    -2w=13 ... w = -6.5

    -x/3 = 10 ... x = -30

  7. b= -3 3/4

    p= -1110

    m= 0

    x= 3/8

    x= -1/2

    p= -4

    w= -6 1/2

    x= -30
