  1. 1 -3x + 2 = 10

    You have to isolate the x.  First, subtract 2 from both sides.

    -3x = 8

    Now, divide both sides by -3.

    x = -8/3

    Check your answer by substituting -8/3 for x.

    -3(-8/3) + 2 = 24/3 + 2 = 8 + 2 = 10.

    #2 3(2+a) - 5a = a + 10

    Here you have multiple variables (a).  Work on getting them all to one side, then simplify.  First, get rid of those parentheses and simplify it a bit.

    3(2) + 3(a) - 5a = a + 10

    6 + 3a - 5a = a + 10

    6 + a(3 - 5) = a + 10

    6 - 2a = a + 10

    Let's put all of the variables on the right side of the equation.  You can do either side.  One way is to add 2a to both sides.

    6 - 2a + 2a = a + 2a +10

    6 = 3a + 10

    Now, subtract 10 from both sides, then divide both sides by 3.

    6-10 = 3a + 10 - 10

    -4 = 3a

    -4/3 = a

    Finally, check your answer through substitution.

    3(2+(-4/3)) - 5(-4/3) = (-4/3) + 10  (BE CAREFUL WITH NEGATIVES)

    3(2/3) + 20/3 = 26/3

    6/3 + 20/3 = 26/3

    26/3 = 26/3

  2. 1. -3x+2=10 is +65

    2. =5x6+7-4x3=12-

    i asked by Babalooshka and she said this was this answer. im not shure though.

  3. Do your own homework you lazy git

  4. 3(2+a)-5a=a+10

    6+3a-5a=a+10

    6-2a=a+10

    -2a=a+4

    a=4

    am pretty sure datz deh answer lol

  5. -3x+2=10

    -3x=10-2

    -3x=8

    x=8/-3

    3(2+a)-5a=a+10

    6+3a-5a-a=10

    -3a=10-6

    a=4/-3
