Solve this hard sequence: 16, 15, 15, ?, 2, 1, 12 ?

I don't know the answer and there are a lot of graduates who can't figure it out either! Good luck...

  2. Could it be 14 and 11

    Taking alternate numbers 16, 15(2nd one) and 2 the sequence follows -1, -13 +10

    Applying -1, -13 +10 to the other set of alternate numbers i.e 15(1st one), blank, 1, blank,   the number 14 would fit the first one and give you the 11 after the 12.

    This answer is assuming a great deal

  3. If the missing number is 12, and each number is a simple sequential substitution with a letter of the alphabet it spells "poolbal" which is a Dutch word for billiard ball.

    But somehow I don't think that's it.
