3) r^2 + 10r + 9 = 0

4) x^2 = 16

  1. (r + 9)(r + 1) = 0

    r = - 9 , r = - 1

    x² = 16

    x = ± 4

    Why do you refer to questions 3) and 4) as opposed to 1) and 2) ? !!!!

    Standard Form:

               Ax^2 + Bx + C = 9

    If you're looking for the numerical coefficient:

    3) a=1 b=10 c=9

    4)a=1 b=0 c= -16
