  1. 3 sin^2(x)  = cos^2(x)

    Dividing by cos^2(x):

    3 tan^2(x) = 1

    tan(x) = +/- 1 / sqrt(3).

    x = pi / 6, 5pi / 6, 7pi / 6, 11pi / 6 +/- 2n pi where n is any integer.
