  1. Jim Carrey, Pam Anderson, Conan O'Brian, and the entire province of Quebec. That's a few of them.

Seriously, though, I have heard that badgers and wolverines are serious threats to livestock in the more remote areas.

  2. Probably the number one, most hated pest would be our National Bird - The mosquito.

Following them would be the little blackfly, immortalized in song and National Film Board of Canada shorts.

The biggest indoor pest is the bedbug - undergoing a population explosion since people stopped spraying poison all over their homes, and aided by the speed of global travel.

Mountain pine beetle has virtually destroyed BC's forest industry, and is now well established in Alberta.

Emerald ash borer has killed thousands of ash trees (the major boulevard tree of almost every Canadian city) in southern Ontario, and has spread to Ottawa, Brampton and Quebec.  It could easily be spread by firewood being transported from Ontario.

The rest of them are pretty much minor nuisances.  The Alberta Rat Patrol works hard to keep rats out of that province, maintaining Alberta's status as the largest rat-free occupied landmass in the world.  Pigeons are a perennial problem in most cities.  Cockroaches can be found in most urban centers, and anywhere food establishments have large build-ups of grease.  And Americans keep getting over the border somehow, looking for decent beer.
