Question:

Some Christians believe in evolution, but NO atheists believe in creation...?

Obviously, atheists do not believe in gods, so they have no "creator" to believe in.

I'm just saying, don't creationists ever find it odd that NO "non-believer" ever sets out to study and research how we got here and comes to the "creation" conclusion? It's only believers... only people who *want* to come to that conclusion.

Thoughts?

  1. They can't come to a conclusion if they dismiss immediately any consideration...

  2. Ronbo, you are an idiot.

    I don't "believe" in evolution, it's real.

I would tell God that but I'm pretty sure he'd have to exist in the first place to be able to hear me.

  3. This is probably because atheists follow science, while religious people follow faith.  Nothing wrong with either, just a general statement.

  4. How can a christian believe in evolution?

    Peace and blessings

  5. if you believe in evolution then your calling GOD a liar.tell him that on judgement day ok.

  6. The odder thing is that Darwinists continue to tweak the theory to fit their mindsets.  Your posited question may mean that Creationists are a little more open minded, in general, than the scientologists under Darwin's flag.

  7. Very true, though some atheists who believe in other creation myths based on different religious (but not godly) beliefs will obviously follow the same pattern.

Science will have it's scientists with agendas but usually no one wants to be a scientist unless they're just fascinated with the truth so hopefully that keeps them to a minumum.

However, even where it does occur, the scientific method and the infrastructure built up to aid scientists in communication and understanding is such that these agendas will be layed bare very quickly indeed.  That's why faked discoveries are soon discovered to be false because for every paper that comes out outlining a finding or discovery, many other scientists repeat the experiments or examine the same evidence and there are many reasons for them to expose frauds!

This has happened reassuringly few times but those times are enough to prove that no lie will last very long at all, least of all over two centuries as the discovery that life evolves, proven by various patterns in nature including biogeography, the fossil record, homology and most recently and decisively, genetics has.  Along with a very sound theory to explain how it occured by natural selection of course.

Edit:  A breaking story that demonstrates what I'm talking about. http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/200...

  8. Creationists claim that we have different presuppositions. I would say that they're wrong. Scientists and Atheists have no presuppositions, while Christians do, and they take the data to fit them, while scientists, atheists do not.

It's reasonable, therefore, to conclude that science not affiliated with religion is more accurate.

  9. another nail to the creationist coffin.

  10. Ronbo, if God's everywhere can't I tell him now: You are a liar, God.

Intelligent people start with a question and look for answers.  That is how they became intelligent.

Ignorant people start with an answer and use it for every question.  That is why they remain ignorant.

  11. There is a reasonable (though highly suspect) case to be made for Intelligent Design, but Biblical creationism is just flat-out mythology. It boggles my mind that anyone over the age of 4 can believe in it.

  12. christians like to read the parts of the bible that fit their needs and wants. If you're such a fan of the bible then I sure hope you don't eat shellfish or cut your sideburns. Beacause thats a sin. In addition you are supposed to stone unruly children to death. It's in there too. But those are the parts you gloss over while you're looking for the part that says no man shall lay with another man. Keep reading the parts you like and forget about the ones that make you sacrafice. It must be a beautiful way of living

  13. Well I never did accuse them of being the brightest crayons in the box now did I ?

Now Tex they do search for the truth with full intention of placing it in the darkest dungeon or burning it at the stake for heresy or some such nonsense . Kent Hovind has even recommended to his followers they commit suicide with cyanide to prevent cancer . Yes I can prove it .

    robo how can I tell a fictional character anything ? Much less call it a liar ? { see what I mean folkes ? * signs * }

  14. 1 There is no evidence for creation, lots for evolution

2 in order for there to be creation, there needs to be a creator. Atheists don't believe in creators so no creation ( 1 backs up 2)

  15. Perfectly circular logic..

  16. I am one of those christians who also believes in evolution. I believe in the possibility of anything. I am also one of those christians who dont believe in everything the bible says. I guess you call us liberal christians : )

  17. Yes, science has no agenda, it is not bias.

Creation scientists have a goal they seek and that goal is not to find the truth.
