  1. First, dry up everything you can.  That includes pushing a few paper towels underneath to see if there's dampness that went through. If he had really been drinking, there may still be wetness in or underneath, so you may need to tilt it or take it apart a little to get at it.

If you need to poke into the dryer, don't worry, they're designed to open for maintenance.  Check the manual on how to open it up most easily. (most manufacturers have the manuals online, and there are sites like http://fixitnow.com/sbrvrs/dryers.htm ) or call a repair man.

If it's any comfort, dryers are actually designed to handle a little wetness, because the clothes that go into them are normally quite damp, so it'll probably be all right. I can confirm that urine is also pretty sterile, so this certainly isn't the worst option.  At least he didn't get sick in there.

Once you're done cleaning up the main problem, open a window, close the door to this room so the smell doesn't spread, and set up a fan.

Start by rinsing with a rag damp with just water.  Dry it off.  Make sure you've got all the urine.

If you need some serious cleaning, make sure you still have the room ventilated. A light bleach mixture isn't flammable, which is your main concern.  Mix a half cup of bleach with 5 cups of hot water if you'd like to really, really sterilize it.  Dip a rag in it to get it DAMP, in your drier, you want to avoid using a dripping cloth.  This level of bleach is normally used in labs handling dangerous diseases, it's more than enough to clean up this mess.  Remember, don't mix cleaning chemicals, especially bleach.  (If you think there are any residues of acids in the dryer, skip the bleach.)   That'll probably also take care of the smell.

Let it air out for about half a day.

If smell is still an issue a day later, I'd first make sure there's no bleach residue by rising with just plain water, and allowing it to dry.  Next, try water mixed with pleasant smelling vinegar (apple vinegar's cheap and common).

I'd be tempted to recommend baking powder as a backup option if the smell's still there tomorrow, but I'd strongly recommend not getting it into the mechanical parts, as it could interfere with the grease.

You can't use any oil based cleaners in here, unless they're clearly marked as non-flammable.  I'd also strongly recommend against sprays.

(note- I'm not a scientist, expert or a repairman.  As always,  go on your own judgement)

  2. Urine is actually sterile but you will probably want to use a good part bleach part water solution then let it dry thoroughly.

  3. It very well could have gotten in the venting in the dryer and there is no way to get that smell out.  You could clean it well and then run it to see if it smells.  If you do try a bleach/water mixture, make sure you rinse it really well.  Good Luck!

  4. Sorrrr eyy, not again already! last time it was the fridge so I guess I'm improving!

  5. just try and use water...i really dont know but i think that could work

  6. I would spray it really well with Lysol spray, wait a few minutes, and then wipe it out. How disgusting.

  7. I'd buy a new dryer; wouldn't even bother with cleaning.

  8. LMFAO! That sucks but is funny!  Get some Lysol wipes and wipe the inside with those.  unless that would have flammable chemicals in it.  The heat of the dryer itself will probably kill any germs.

  9. Oh my God,well after you kick ***,lol, you need to put a bleach/water mix in a bucket and with (a throw away) sponge, wipe the inside of the dryer all around(with gloves on of course, lol). Then turn your dryer on and let it run for like an hour on high heat, the heat/bleach will kill any "p**s germs" that are in there. Then spray some lysol and you should  be good to go. I would however wash like some throw rugs, etc and put them in there first to dry, before you put your good clothes in there. Also, I would find out where that guy lives and p**s in his car window(on a nice hot day, lol). Good luck!

  10. Have you tried the dryer out since then? Modern dryers have all kinds of electronic circuitry inside them and your problem may be a lot worse than just some stanky smell.
