  1. Yes they will be healthy, the others may be just fine.

  2. It all depends on how she is deformed and why.   A fish can have a bent spine for a lot of reasons.  She could have bent her spine due to an injury, or she could have gotten a bent spine due to too many difficult pregnancies.  Bent spines are actually quite common in older female guppies who have had a lot of difficult drops of fry.  If this is the case, then she should drop perfectly normal, healthy fry.  If her bent spine is due to a genetic defect, then it's more likely her fry will also have bent spines.  If you don't know the cause of her deformity, then there's no reason why you can't take a chance on her fry.  Bent spines that are genetic defects will show up in fry at a very early age, so just watch to see if any of her fry have bent spines and cull the ones that show problems early on.

  3. Well I guess we cant fault you for breeding a deformed fish, if you didnt know.

But there is a major chance that the babies will be deformed, ONLY if the mother was deformed at birth (most likely inbreeding too far)

If it's something that happened to her during her lifespan that made her deformed then the babies will be just fine.

  4. how do you mean you recently found out she was deformed? sometimes older females or malnutritioned females can get a bent spine after giving birth-if that's what you mean then the fry should be fine if they are fed properly as genetic defects usually show up at birth.
