  1. fact!

you can find more pictures in http://www.chinaassistor.com/

  2. You know I was thinking of that, when I was watching it on TV.

The part that stuck out as fake to me was not the ones around the stadium but the serious of the line of fireworks that went off south of Tainenman square heading northwards though the forbidden city and up to the stadium. It just did not have the feel of being real..

    Edit:

All the people who have me thumbs down I was right about it...

It was the giant footsteps that were faked for TV showing but they were set off in real life.

  3. fact, it looks fake. when i saw it on tv, i just couldnt believe it.

  4. Chinese invented fireworks, so would they fake it? I doubt it.

Let's say they did, so what? If they did, then it was a great computer effects.

  5. Seriously people needs to get over themselves especially the rats of Telegraph newspaper. British commentators and Americans have ALREADY said that the fireworks was filmed.

  6. O yeah , China is a faker's paradise . Needless to say , this Olympics is also made in China ... haahh

  7. please stop being jealous.

I don't know what Chanel u were watching, but Bob A on NBC made it clear already

  8. i doubt it. anyway, even if they did, so what? i'll say i'm impressed at how they faked it.

  9. Fiction - Opening Ceremony fireworks were faked

All those fireworks displayed that night  were real MCcoy. A lot of people especially from Western nations can't believed the spectacular fireworks from the Chinese were real simply because of jealously. Do they know that the Chinese were the first people that invented fireworks since 2000 years ago??

    Go check this-

  10. Why can't anybody read? "The faked fireworks were actually set-off at the stadium, but because of potential dangers in filming the display live from a helicopter, viewers at home were shown a pre-recorded, computer-generated shot." The faked shots were by the television broadcaster, not China. Again, the fireworks were ACTUALLY SET OFF. China invented fireworks, they've been using it for various celebratory events for longer than anyone else in the world. Especially for an event as important as this, why would they need to fake anything? None of the fireworks were anything I haven't seen before, so I had no reason to think anything was faked.

FACT (according to this article): TV broadcaster faked televised shots of some fireworks due to dangers of aerial shots. Fireworks actually took place.

FICTION: China faked fireworks during the ceremony
